MILAN International Naval meet to see about 30 Navies from around the world

About 30 navies are likely to participate in the International Naval meet at the international Naval meet – MILAN- to be held in March at Visakhapatnam.


It was in 2016 that India had hosted the International Fleet Review. With only two months left for the mega event, the Eastern Naval Command reviewed the preparations. Chief of Staff of eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral S N Ghormade held the review meeting that was attended by the civil administration, police and other organisations.


At the meeting, a detailed presentation was presented on the activities of MILAN. After the review meeting, the naval officers along with the others pr5esent at the meeting visited the various venues that would be part of MILAN.


A multilateral naval exercise, MILAN is aimed at enhancing professional interaction between friendly foreign navies. Apart from this, it would also help each of the naval forces to learn from each other’s experience, strengths and best practices. The theme of MILAN is ‘Synergy Across the Seas’.
